Flash Point: Fire Rescue – Tragic Events
Expansion of:
Flash Point: Fire Rescue
2 - 5 Players
Ages 10+
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Tragic Events is a nice upgrade to game play, probably wouldn’t play without. My plays will be recorded on the main FPFR page.

I don't think I will play Flash Point without Tragic Events ever again! Yes, it is that good! The additional Specialists are fun, but the cards that replace hotspots are just so much fun!

This expansion really isn't for me. It removes some of the randomness with the fire deck but seems to double to overall randomness with the event deck. Mainly I dislike the expansion because for me it feels that I lose all illusion of being in control and things just happen to me. It seems that I'm in the vast minority with my opinion but I thought it would be beneficial to voice my differing opinion on this one.
