Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
Take That
In games with a trading mechanic, the players can exchange game items between each other.
Trading
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

The new map area and added reaver threat make the game more fun but the new jobs honestly don't seem to add much, doesn't feel worth the time/effort compared to the core game jobs

Not played yet. So much looking foreward to it. The new Reaver rules are better than the original I think and you can inklude them in standardplay easily. That the Board becomes bigger is cool, the missions from Mister Universe seem cool, Miranda is temting ^_^ Firefly takes longer now, I guess. This makes it harder to get on the table.

Adds a lot of replay value to core game. Definitely worth the investment if you want to like Firefly and want a bit more mileage.
