Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

A fun press your luck game with an interesting theme and nice art, but I do feel like someone can end up quickly getting behind without leittle way to catch up.
Alan Stern
Press-your-luck filler. I like the game mechanisms. The tools can be very useful/powerful, but it's still always about the random draws. The game inherently will have big swings, but it really is meant to be a light, quick game. And at that it succeeds.

I bought this game on Kickstarter because I thought it would be an interesting quick game that could play up to 6. Some times you need a filler game to pay while waiting around for others to join, or while setting up a larger game. The game is almost entirely random, so very little strategy is involved. I found it a little hard to explain the rules the first time, and as I continued playing it, some questions came up that the rule book did not answer clearly. But over all, the game met my expectations and we enjoyed playing it.
