A tile laying game that feels like a pleasant family game that works very nicely, even for advanced gamers, and that suggested to me on first play, a good design. Bottom line: Favelas provides good, relaxed gaming in a nice package. And if you want to stress about each turn, sure, you can do that too. I had an intuitive strategy in mind from the get go, and it worked quite well, so that felt satisfying.
