60m - 60m
1 - 5 Players

Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Some board games incorporate elements of role playing. It can be that players control a character that improves over time. It can also be a game that encourages or inspires storytelling.
Role Playing
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Some rules a little different from the first 3 in the series, has stat sheets to carry player info through the campaigns. Still as enjoyable as the others, really hard to win.

-traded away in a MathTrade- I really really like this game a lot. First, I come from a DnD-PnP-RPG background and have played the "Temple of Elemental Evil" in PnP and as a PC-Game. Secondly, I love Dungeon Crawls. Thirdly, I love Co-Op games. ...and with this gane I get everything in a well structured rule-set, with well functioning mechanics. I appreciate it when there is (the possibility of) an automated overlord. This game, like the Co-Op-expansion from Descent, does it really really good. It was the first game I played solo (just to test it) but it pulled me so much into the game...I don't have words for this. Great game. Components are also very well made. There could be more different miniatures but that is okay, since you could combine it with the rest of the DnD-series. (...and my Firebats were broken when I got them...but that's nothing glue can't fix) The cards are a bit thin but the cardboard is very sturdy. I can truly recommend this. Now that some time has passed the randomness bothers me quite a bit. Draw the wrong card, fail to disable a trap - boom - you're done, and there is nothing you can do about it.

BEST FEATURES This edition improves the games by adding a campaign option. Many beautiful components: unpainted miniatures, interlocking dungeon tiles, & other tokens. Also the interface with previous editions is seamless. WORST FEATURES Game gets a little bland after many replays. Cooperative dungeon crawl is not everyone's cup of tea.
