Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building

A very pretty, spatial, puzzle game. The spatial aspect can definitely cause some AP, it’s a good thing everyone can do the creation phase at the same time. I’m not very good at arranging to meet a pattern. Perhaps I’ll get better with more plays. The lower player counts will be better, mainly because there is a lot of thought and planning going into the 4 actions a player has on their turn. I do like the game and look forward to playing more.

Really enjoying this game so far. Provides excellent decision space with a fairly low rules complexity (and good playtime). Advanced rules may the game a much richer experience compared to base. Player count preference: 2 > 3 >>> 4

I love this game so much, I've posted my very first in-depth review here: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2388847/beautifully-unique Some house rules we play with: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2388171/house-rules-increase-fundecrease-ap And a semi-cooperative variant here: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2399216/semi-cooperative-2-vs-mr-nightmare-modified-solo-r
