Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

Essen 2019 - in my shortlist but cut initially as I felt it might not be that interactive. Still have sone concerns but bought it and 3 expansions after full game with designer. Very solid first impression.
Includes Expansions: White as Snow, Dream Creatures, Will O' Whisps, Red Raven, Deep Dreams, and On Purpose
Solo mode very punishing at first difficulty. Wondering how impossible the game can get. This game is growing on me.. the complexity of the multiples semi hidden ways of stacking points is amazing
