Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.

Vin d'jeu: french review of La Corneille Rouge: https://www.vindjeu.eu/2020/05/19/dreamscape-la-corneille-rouge/

This is a difficult expansion. It adds a different arc where you confront your nightmares and build dreamscapes with red shards. Similarly to the snow expansion, it changes the game enough so that when you want to add variety, you can. It also combines pretty well with the Will'O the Wisp. However, it also adds a significant take that element, especially with the new dream purpose tile, and I am not certain about it, because it does feel pretty arbitrary and situational. The game is definitely different because of it, but I'm not sure if it's better. Still, the nightmare dreamscapes are very interesting to build.
