Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Player elimination occurs in multiple-player games (>2) when a player can be eliminated from the game and play continues without the eliminated player.
Player Elimination
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Not the best exploration game. The random components are interesting but all really similar in the end.

The game at first feels a bit bland compared to other games by FFG. After playing it a bit, I found it confirmed my initial feeling. I would up its rating to 4 now. I think the problem comes from it being a too generic compared to some other FFG products like Lord of the Ring and Lovecraft games. If you play this game with a more open mind though it has some interesting twists for a family game. But as a BGG hobby game it is not great. One of its critical comments is about the computer generated production content, but to me it is proof of some very interesting design directions we could see develop over the years. The design is interesting but the execution is too generic.

A very random game, you can win once without doing anything after 10 minutes, the goals are realized by themselves. Other times, the game is virtually unwinnable and goals unattainable. A very repeatable game.
