(Oct 2016) I've never played BSG and the main reason is game length. I just don't have time to play 3+ hour games that often however the concept is right up my alley. So when I heard there was a short version of BSG I knew I had to try it. After just a couple plays, I see this staying in my collection for a while. It's got more substance than something like The Resistance but doesn't bog down like I feel Dead of Winter sometimes does. An initial rating of 7.5 but I can see this going up with more plays. (Oct 2017): 7.5 => 9 This game has become my go-to hidden traitor game that we can play in about an hour. The hidden dice rolling that sometimes forces good guys to submit negative dice (and even infected to submit positive dice occasionally) is superb. Every game leads to funny moments of accusations and betrayals. (Aug 2018): 9 => 10 This game is essentially perfect for me and has just improved over time. I love it. I will never turn down a play of this and it is by far the best hidden traitor game I've ever played. It plays best with an experienced group but that's more of a "flaw" with the genre and not Dark Moon in particular.

One of the very few social deduction/traitor games I enjoy because of the way the game actively makes it easier for the players to doubt one another. Other traitor games really need to have multiple plays to make it interesting but this one fires right off the bat.

Explaining the rules to this game is rough, but game play is quite good once you get the hang of it. Rule book needs work.
