Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

More CE goodness! I put this smack in the middle of the 3 expansions so far. Favorites: Schizoid, Winner and Pygmy. As with the CI; I just threw the extra cards right into the main deck even in smaller player number games. More chaos = good.

I really wouldn't bother with this one unless you really want more alien options. It just doesn't add much to the experience.

Cosmic encounter is the best game out there. Add more aliens and I will buy it. New cards and features is just icing. This is the least interesting of the expansions, so I would get the others over this one.
