Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Need to figure out some sort of codex system for this since I don't have binders. I'm thinking something made of foamcare...

First time playing. I like the way the game flows. The turns make for interesting decisions and some creative planning. I can definitely see the similarities to Magic. Flagstone was good, it seems to have many opportunities to attach the base with flying or undetectable. Scourge focuses more on playing with tokens and creatures that die.
