This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Short worker placement + social deduction game that is too quick for you to deduce anything meaningful. Argent does the concept better.

Love this little game. 8 hidden scoring cards - some of which are really dramatic - and you need to watch what the other players are doing and try to guess what’s scoring and how. Unlike related “social deduction” games, there is enough real “information leakage” to give you a good chance to make some educated guesses, and a fair amount of it is discoverable … but enough is likely to remain hidden to provide for surprises. It plays quickly and is super-streamlined, so it’s just fun. While it’s a niche flavor for sure, it’s just super-well-executed in evoking the feel of mysterious uncovered memories while still giving the players enough of a feeling of control. This, Tragedy Looper, and Sakura Arms are a really remarkable set of 3 games from BakaFire. They’re all completely brilliant designs - doing something interesting and unusual, and doing them with style and skill and elegance.

The font choices is the thing holding this back. I actually really like a lot of the design choices but it falls just slightly flat on some choices.
