A well designed, mechanically sound game that does absolutely nothing for me. Suffers from a tough on-ramp, falling into the same trap that many Eklund games do by being excessively elaborate with terminology, but then compounds it by making poor choices about communication to the player. The game vomits symbology at the player, without providing easy references and guides. The pursuit of making the game language independent has meant that it sacrifices too much usability. The core gameplay isn't actually that challenging, but there are a lot of interlocking pieces. The biggest issue I have, once you pass the learning hurdle, is that the game is incredibly constraining, yet you can't do much in the way of planning when it isn't your turn... and downtime can be long. If the whole group wants to play it, I wouldn't protest, but it's not a strong player in the waters in swims in.

Amazing game, but also a really heavy one. Its needed to check the rulebook even after several matches. Anyway what happens on the board while playing is great, unique. Deep and enjoyable, and also a nice challenge. Better 2 player, with 2 spirits each. Im still trying to play 2 players coop against Ego. Update: Too much for me. After 4 games is still needed the rulebook

Too much individual actions. Really abstract theme. Starting faction has a higher chance of winning. Too complicated and confusing iconography.
