This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Aardvarkdawn
A nice game to play with friends. Not too complex not to simple with various strategies without being overwhelming for new players. Plus the tactile enjoyment of coloured blocks!
Big B
Takes the cube conversion action of spice road and puts them down on the board to become a worker placement game. Score points buy spending cubes for point cards plus some set collection going on. Doesn't do anything new except deliver a solid worker placement game with very trim ruleset, although there's a little more going on than in the previous games, and between that and the variable setup it will probably have strongest legs of the trilogy.
BigDunkDamage
This game isn't great. We were disappointed with the quality of the game components, compared to spice road and eastern wonders. The gameplay system felt lame, but maybe we need a few more plays... Still, the game feels like an afterthought.
