Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling

A small expansion for Call to Adventure. This doesn't add too much to the game. You do have to take out a bunch of base game cards to play this, which I'm not really a fan of. The big change in this is the Naming. If you fail a challenge, you can try to take one of the 3 names available (Fire, Wind or Iron). This is done by rolling the base runes ONLY. 4 successes are required. If you get one, any challenges later in the game that have the icon can be taken without rolling. Each name also gives 3 VP. Successes can be added to the roll for each symbol of that Name you have when you try it. There are also new Hero and Anti-Hero cards that can help. So, simple stuff. If not for the fact that it takes me a good 10 minutes to add the new cards in, I would teach this to anyone playing for the first time.

*NIS - if sold with (used but very good condition) base game, comes with complete set of game-specific sleeves.

My copy has components quality issues such as very noticeable card color differences compared to base game. Solved by using custom Call to Adventure sleeves. Quality of sleeves is also poor though with a lot of them having various defects.
