Andy Parsons
A perfectly competent design, as you would expect from Richard Garfield. Bunny Kingdom is called an area control game, but in truth no areas are contested. I'd call it an area occupation game. Occupying areas with resources and developments scores you in-game points. A whole load more points come at the end from scoring cards players have salted away. Everything is driven by hands of drafted cards. The game gives you a few things to think about, most notably the extent to which you will chase end game scoring at the expense of getting bunnies on the board. Add to that a question of concentration or dispersal of your bunny fiefdoms. Nothing too mentally taxing, but fairly enjoyable. Production quality and artwork are both good.

Similar to Kingdom Builder, but more variety in ways to score and doesn't rely solely on the 1 card you randomly draw each turn!

Very easy to teach, and the game flows easily and quickly with the newer/larger board size. Scoring can take a while, but the 40-60 minute total time is accurate. The long time spent scoring is about the only thing knocking this score down, but it's an outsized factor given how relatively short the rest of the game is.
