Boss Monster: The Dungeon Building Card Game
30m
2 - 4 Players
Ages 13+
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Player elimination occurs in multiple-player games (>2) when a player can be eliminated from the game and play continues without the eliminated player.
Player Elimination
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
Take That
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Fun bidding (and some primitive market manipulation/speculation) game that I've found works very well with people who aren't too deep into tactical card games. I play with a variant in the rulebook in which a player who doesn't kill any hero draw a room or spell at EoT. Not higher because the tableau building isn't that good.

I was basically frozen out in the first couple of turns by not having enough symbols to attract monsters and spent the whole game trying to aquire enough symbols to do so. One of only two games I've ever just ducked out of before it was over out of boredom.
