Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Games that use the Memory mechanic require players to recall previous game events or information in order to reach an objective.
Memory
The simultaneous action selection mechanic lets players secretly choose their actions. After they are revealed, the actions resolve following the rule-set of the game.

First play:1\23\16 2 and a half hours (3 people did research on the game, 4th was in for a game at the last minute, all had not played before.) I rated it a 10 in December 2015, (after watching videos, I was psyched!) so I rated it a 10 before playing, Was I hasty? NO! It was that good! Oh yeah, I forgot to say I WON AT 125 points! (every one else gave me loki cards in the draft.) I got 4 figures destroyed in Ragnorok (16) times 2 for double all glory in by dying in Ragnorok. then I had 3 glory each person released from Valhala (2 cards) 8 people released (24) those two things were almost half my victory! phenomenal combos, leading into an awesome game!

Good strategic dudes on a map game with a depressing lack of theme. It has to do mainly with the main mechanic of the game, draft of cards, which for me doesn't do any justice to the vikings theme. At least there is some interaction going on with the battles. Art is great, ok miniatures, but the main thing should have been bigger and sturdier cards (and a more interesting map) since they are the main aspect of the game. I also hate combat with cards 'cause is so much more restrictive than the epic drama provided by a dice. Also this game has serious scaling problems. If a player starts well, he's already win and will be pretty impossible to reach.

I know its the hottest of the hotness but I just didn't gel with this, maybe its because I'm super terrible at it.
