I bought it during Paris est Ludique 2017. A good game with pretty material and a nice system when you choose a component's card. If you try it, you like it !
Brazol
Demoed at Essen 2017. Very nice game where you collect ingredients to prepare potions. Potions give you points, can be sold or combined into spells that can be used once per round. The best part is the grid with resources where you put your assistants. There is this smart mechanism that you can put them at any column but only one column corresponds to current round. So you can plan for the future but also rows shift when someone takes a resource so your assistant from different row might now be in the current one. You can gather single resources or single card that have multiple on it. So you try to optimize your moves to use as little cards as you can to prepare a potion because resources are expensive and the money is short in this game. I had a good time playing it and considered buying it.

I first spotted Blackwood with these magnificent illustrations. After learning about the game as Ludinord (Lille, France in March 2017) approached, I really wanted to test it so much I felt that between it and me it was likely to match. And indeed, it was a very beautiful discovery. Its mechanism of collection / exchange against points obviously reminded me Splendor but I find blackwood deeper, kind of family ++. The rules are not very complex but it is still more complicated than splendor and it seems to me there is an interesting learning curve. Can't wait its release ! :)
