Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Wonderful, thematic adventure game. It’s not perfect because one unlucky die roll or draw can make the difference between winning or losing. In the end that doesn’t matter though, because the journey is engaging.

Nice theme. The basic thrust of the game is that you are a newly appointed tradesman in 1800’s Germany/Austria, and you are on a quest of 3 years and a day, to go gain life experiences. Take jobs, explore the countryside, visit cities, meet characters you will recall your whole life, and tally up these experiences in your journal. Rather charming, but with enough special rules to keep me referring to the rules.

Not even in my drunkest day I would spend this much money on such game. Spielworxx seems to be testing how crazy ppl can get paying 120 on a 40 USD game. Good luck with that!
