Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
In games with a trading mechanic, the players can exchange game items between each other.
Trading
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Deluxe version comes with painted minis - lukewarm DT review even though it was on Sam's most anticipated list (medium weight per Tom unlike most dudes on a map which are light or heavy)
Big B
Cool, fairly straightforward DOAM. I like how different the various giant tribes feel, each having different goals and parts of the map they want to get toward. The large miniatures do a pretty good job of conveying these large creatures having territorial disputes, with smaller races caught in the crossfire. Pacing can feel a little slow between the battle phases and how cards come out, but the game actually wraps up fairly quickly. Art could be better (it's D&D, I get it game!) but the component quality is pretty good. A little better than I expected to be honest, solid game.
Brother Horus
Love this game with 3 or more, I don't understand some of the reviews, one in particular that slaughtered the game. I did wonder if they were just playing a different game. If you play with 2 which is possible this is about a 6.5. You can play it but it is not as engaging. Otherwise a very enjoyable and thematic area control game with some great card play.
