Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Girts
This game is about Take that mechanism and basically only that. Cards look pretty and mechanism with rotating them is nice, but anyone can change their value or even destroy. That means you actually can't plan anything. Mess each other plans and that's all.

Take-that card placement game. You are trying to keep your buildings alive and score the most points for the end of the game.

My main problem with Architectura is how limited your choices are. Pick a card from a hand of three and place it either on the end of a row of cards that has already been started or in the first space of a new row. That's all. Add to that the special abilities that many cards have to mess with that card you placed before you next get a turn. With a full complement of four players this game is pretty chaotic. The artwork is bland but entirely functional. The cards are fairly thin.
