Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

An interesting color matching and set collection title. Even with the clear player aid, it can be a handful for casual and especially younger players to understand the scoring.

Nice game. Quick play, not hard to learn. Lots of balancing mechanics. But the components... Sigh. The box is small, yes, but large enough for a small folding board that you could display the cards on top of, rather than adjacent to. Then when you flip the board for scoring, the spaces and scoring chits wouldn't need to be microscopic. My Kickstarter edition comes with nice wooden coins. Better than cardboard punch out coins. But the screen print is erratically centered and the coins aren't very consistently sized or round. The cards are decent. Quite thick and stiff. They should last. The game is good. But it is held back by the components.

A little persnickity in the scoring. I warn you, read the rules twice!! Interesting tableau set collection. Could use some helper aids but second time around you will be fine.
