Initial Impression: Only 18 cards? How does one pack so much game into only 18 cards? Apparently the designer found a way because this game is a filler with meat. At first this little game seems like your typical Battle Line with a twist. You know the drill. Play cards to your side of the 3 theaters in order to accumulate the most strength. However, your cards have abilities that trigger when they're deployed which can change the tide of battle instantly. Once a lost cause, now victory is imminent! Here's the real twist to the game. On your turn, when you analyze the battle and determine that you're bound to lose the conflict, you have the option of withdrawing. This awards victor only partial VPs depending on how early you withdraw. This is a great mechanism for mitigating a poor hand and provides for a metagame wheere you don't necessarily want to play all your strengths in the beginning of the round. Great little game that really can be played as a filler.

A quick strategy game for 2 players. You try to overtake your opponent in 2 out of the 3 fields. It adds a twist where you can withdraw from the battle (round) to minimize your losses and try to win the next battle. However, the game is not wife approved ☹️

I love the card play, and the withdrawal concept. However, in practice, the withdrawal means every round ended on a low point: the winning player was disappointed they didn't get more points, and the withdrawing player was disappointed they had to give up. I think that says more about why I play games then the game's quality, though.
