Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Found this game to be fun; more than I had expected when I picked it up on clearance sale. Played with my 11 year old as a 2 player game and it was enjoyable albeit formulaic in conclusion as a 2 player game. Three players was much better. With more plays I can see that taking more risk will greatly increase the otherwise formulaic feeling. The sooner you are putting tokens on the board the sooner the game is going to end and thus I can see forcing players into mistakes.

Great components but I think the rules and gameplay are not. Played twice with 2 and 4 people. For the 4 person, we need up with 1 player getting the last place for every round. It basically sucked. Similar happened in the 2 player. Going to try to develop another game with the components.

To much work to explain for a sub par game. A lot better games with similar feel that flow better. Also the deciding ties is just bad.
