7 Wonders Duel: Pantheon
30m - 45m
2 - 2 Players
Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Adds some interesting decisions to the game. Not sure you need this expansion, but it increases the replayability if your standard games have gotten too predictable. But honestly, I am not sure I don't prefer the base game without the expansion, and I hope we don't get a bajillion more like it.
An essential expansion for 7 Wonders Duel in my opinion. It adds so many options and makes winning by military or science victories just as possible as by victory points totaled at the end. I also kick people's asses in this game, so... bonus.
One of the best expansions that I own. As a veteran of many games of 7 Wonders, I found Duel a little too straightforward. Pantheon shakes up my thought processes a bit by adding 15 deities, each with their own special effect. In the first era of the game some are selected and the differing costs of playing them to each player are decided. In later eras you get an extra option on your turn to use them. All this is achieved without dramatically increasing the rules overhead. Splendid. Production quality and artwork are to the same standard as the base game. The rules are fine.
