A kind of roll and write style game, trying to enclose a given set of items in the most efficient way
BubbleChucks
You look at your board in relation to the kings requirements and then you identify the most efficient way to enclose them in a looped wall. Over the course of the game you build your wall based upon the random pieces available to you and the other players each round. Or, in a two player game, you put your feet up and mirror what the other player does. The game basically takes what happens on a single players turn in String Safari and stretches it out over a very boring 30 minutes of random tosh. String Safari doesn't have the mirror problem, the scoring choices are more varied, its less random, it looks better, it doesn't use an abundance of plastic and it is more fun. If this game appeals to anyone then I would advise them to look at String Safari and buy that game instead. Should they have a particular penchant for building plastic walls Castellan is a much better alternative for two players, even though it is by no means a great game itself. Personally, I would leave all three of the aforementioned games on the shop shelf and buy something else instead. Played it, regretted the wasted time, definitely didn't buy it - but BGG won't let me comment without adding it to my collection :(
