Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Significantly more difficult than it's predecessor. Choose this one if you want a challenge. For me, the challenge makes it more interesting and replayable. The gray area rules are not explained well. Watch Eric Martins video for a good explanation.

The second of the Clever series, TaC is a deceptively thinky Rube Goldberg of points. Just glancing at the colorful score sheets teases its pinball combo potential. It isn't a hard game to learn. Once you familiarize yourself with the version's scoring tracks the rest of the game is largely up to the roll of the dice. As is the series's staple mechanic, each player rolls three times and chooses dice to score on their respective tracks. The main caveat is that any lower numbers in the roll must be discarded to a dish. In multiplayer games other participants can utilize the ditched dice for their own sheets. I think the tantalizing promise of hitting that perfect wave of combos is what has me periodically playing a quick game.

Doppelt so Clever challenges you to optimize die probabilities and short term bonuses, while either passing on other opportunities to your friends. It's completely abstract, but a lovely puzzle for what it is: Almost like playing sudoku competitively. Makes a great travel game, or to play solo before anyone else is awake. Scales well at all player counts.
