My wife loved the art, so she had to buy it. It sat on our shelf for a few months, then we played it. You either draw a card or buy a card and add it to your hand when you're down to the last card in the season, you shuffle your deck and discard pile together and set up a new season. Fundamentally, this is a deck builder. Somehow it feels like a take that game, despite zero player interaction. Some cards in your starting deck discard themselves and another card, so any setup you have is volatile at best. There's a glimmer of something here. The artwork is fantastic, and there's even a tutorial comic strip that gives you a little lore if you're unfamiliar with the IP. But who is this for? It feels aimed at young adults, but built for kids. Honestly, the gameplay is so hollow, I would feel insulted if I knew anything about the series and got this. I've literally played children's games with more depth than this. We didn't even make it past the halfway point of the game before we mercy killed it. Bought and sold 2020.

Got a "pre-release" version from VanCAF (Vancouver Comic Arts Festival) and got Katie O'Neill to sign it! (Twice actually, once on the front cover, once inside the boxtop as the outside one will probably wear off). Great, lightweight game that I put into a plastic deckbox so I can easily carry it around anywhere now.

Any game that feels nice and warm and snuggly and gets my wife to the table is a great game in my book! A cozy little deck builder that is easy to learn, relaxing to play, and simply adorable. Some of my favorite artwork and theming to date, but I live that Hygge lifestyle to the fullest!
