Description from the publisher:
Night is falling and your tamed critters have somehow escaped their enclosure! Head into the forest and tempt them back with juicy lightning bugs in Smile, a game of gathering cute creatures for three to five players.
In every game of Smile, you and your fellow players attempt to lure your critters back by taking turns placing fireflies on their cards one at a time. But be careful! Wild critters are equally enamored with your fireflies, but will give you negative points. Wisely spend your fireflies to attract the best critters while saving enough to bid in future rounds. Just remember: In the end, you’ll be surrounded by a collection of cute smiling creatures — for better or worse!

No Thanks! clearly inspired this game, which is not as good. No Thanks! gives you a bit more control over your fate. In Smile you're pretty much at the mercy of the card draws.

Interesting little bidding game whereby you want to collect the creatures worth points and avoid those with negative points. A simple twist is that most have a colour and if you get two of the same colour then they are both discarded. I like the risk-management here as occasionally you simply need to cut your losses and take a points hit to secure the fireflys (tokens) used for bidding. Artwork is awesome and the creatures are so cute. Sold in massive (150+) game bundle in 2023

Lets say a doctor (For Sale) and a lawyer (No Thanks) get married and have kids. One of those kids grows up to be a material handler at a warehouse. Smile is that kid. I'm not saying that being a material handler at a warehouse is a bad thing to do. Its what I do for a living. I'm just saying that there was a potential for so much more.
