Rollecate (Second Edition)
10m - 15m
1 - 4 Players
Ages 8+
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Fireball2k
very nice and funny filler game. A little bit luck combined with tactics makes every round different.

El juego no es malo, y por el precio que tiene cumple perfectamente como filler ligero. Demasiado suerte dependiente para mi gusto y falto de emoción, seguramente elegiría jugar a otro antes que a este, pero sobretodo por que no es mi tipo de juego.
Blind Reality
At first this will seem like any other filler. But once you start to play it becomes quickly apparent that there is more to this small game than meets the eye. The manipulation and risk management that go into ensuring you get as little penalty points as possible are really surprisingly engaging. This is mostly due to the clever combine rule that lets you remove penalty points when you match the top card of your penalty stack. This means that sometimes you actually want to take penalty cards because it will lower your total. All in all a great filler that will have everybody screaming ONE MORE! A great accomplishment for this first time publisher. Add to that the beautiful components. Nice quality cards, great artwork, classy drawstring bag and most of all the superb locomotive! One of the best cast train miniatures I have ever seen. While it's purely cosmetic, it helps bring the game to life and adds to the great quality feel of the total package. The one thing that's not so great about the game is the rulebook. While all the rules are in there and there are plenty of illustrations and examples, you still have to kind of piece together how the game works. This is mostly due to the less than ideal layout that puts things in places you don't expect them to be. As a translator I have read so many bad rules that I know writing clear rules is the biggest challenge in creating a game. I can forgive a first time publisher for underestimating the effort that goes into writing a solid set of rules.
