Monster Fluxx

2 - 5 Players
Ages 8+
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

We bought this not knowing what to expect. It exceeded our expectations. Gameplay ranged between 5 minutes and 30 minutes for 2 players but we found playing it more fun than winning. Very light game but highly entertaining. Take-that but often completely at random based on the rules at the time - since they constantly change and discarding cards is rarely allowed so you have little choice in changing the rules and the winning conditions, only about the order in which you change them.

I couldn't believe that there was a Fluxx game called monster flux but it didn't have creepers. Fluxx that!

Fun monster themed Fluxx. It's one of the Fluxxes developed for Target, so it doesn't have the complex cards, just the basic four types (Keeper, New Rule, Action, Goal).
