In-game money is bet on different commodities in hope that that particular commodity will become the most valuable as the game progresses. Often the values of the commodities are continually changing throughout the game, and the players buy and sell the commodities to make money off of their investment.
Commodity Speculation
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management

Really fun word game mixed with a stock game, but a stock game for people like me who don't care for stock games

Not a fan of word games in general as my spelling is generally appalling, however this one is fairly short, well it has few turns. The idea of a common river of letters is cool, but in practice this means you cannot really plan before your turn as the letters may (will) change from turn to turn and thus there is a level of AP, especially for players like myself who are not so good at anagrams, i.e. rearranging their letters to form words. The stock system sounded interesting however they are simply points you cannot then spend on patenting letters, and honestly the letter patents add a rich get richer type mechanic to the game as patents for the letters like E and S whilst expensive do reap you much more money over the game which results in you being able to buy more different expensive patents and thus generate more money/points. Same problem as all word games, those with a better vocabulary win out and in this one unfortunately this tends to be obvious from fairly early on in the game

Good word game. The mechanisms seem to work well, although I haven't played it enough to work out if it is fully balanced.
