I love this game. You program your cards to move your fish past obstacles. Nice thinking game, and pretty :)

Was hoping this would be "like Roborally but with fish" but it isn't. The game does not really have "programmable movement", it is play a card from your hand and move your fish in the sequence of arrows/rotates shown. Sometimes you will have the perfect card for the situation allowing you to scoop up points effortlessly and sometimes you will have a hand of worthless garbage. The large swing from what you draw is very frustrating. Too bad because the art/components are very beautiful.

I played it at a boardgame cafe in 2 players. I think it has a nice peaceful mood, kind of like I would imagine being a fish feels like. However I don't think it has much interaction between players - the few interactions that did happen mostly worked to reduce the things that happen in the game, rather than amplify them. So basically I spent a lot of time in the game doing nothing, bumping into rocks, and on occasion eating a couple frogs and flies in one move, which felt satisfying (maybe the pacing helps to make this more satisfying than if it happened more frequently) I liked the mechanic of the flower - when you place it, it makes ripples in the pond and moves stuff around, potentially causing chain reactions. However I found the game has a lot of mechanics to limit this, such as getting rid of all the flowers every once in a while, whereas I would have liked to play with far more of that mechanic. I would give it another chance with 3-4 players, perhaps it has a different vibe.
