The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.
Variable Player Powers
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

It struck me how easy and family-friendly this game is. Great artwork and quick to learn. Great to play with old enough kids. Two things I noticed on broken gameplay: characters seem unbalanced and you can easily end with scores where one player has twice as many points as another. In a 3-player setup, you can permanently block another player from locations. As a consequence, we'll possibly never play with 3 players again, or invent a house rule to fix this issue.

A good light-weight game that plays in about half an hour. There is something just a bit off about the scoring and the endgame trigger that keeps me from rating this higher.

Very basic and not a great solo implementation. Moves are very similar and not very thematic. Will be a good game to introduce to my son when he's a little older.
