Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Love this racing game, its provides plenty of excitement and being able to customise your route each game is a great addition. Don't have anything like it in my collection.
I have always been looking for a game where it is important to get over the finish line first. Can remember the trot game Derby in the 80's. Can this live up to my expectations?
A very unique game which I enjoy playing at the start or end of game night as it runs on the lighter side of things. Still a lot of decision making space and a very fun game. The second half of the game is more enjoyable than the first part as the finish line approaching makes it that much more intense.
