Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Great game for new players. Two players is pretty fun. It gets more casual the more players you add

A disappointment. Surprisingly limited options, even for an intro game aimed at younger ages. Simpler than I expected/wanted, while also too clunky to be a pleasant casual game. I'm amazed this is sold as a standalone game; it should be the training scenario from a more complete game. I have yet to play the rest of the franchise, but I still intend to do so, but I wouldn't buy or seek to play this one again.

Bought this game first without realizing it was based off the original self-entitled "Evolution". The kids and I love this game! Such a unique way of creating new species of creatures with various traits. One of our discussions while playing is what the creature would look like with a given set of traits. If you've played the app version, then you can unlock artist renditions of creatures with 3 traits! It's pretty awesome. I'm saving up to buy the original Evolution!
