Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
Take That
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.
Tile Placement
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

O objetivo do jogo é fazer a maior pontuação: cumprindo objetivos secretos, objetivos abertos, destruindo monstros e colhendo gemas.

Rating based on 1 play. Pretty nasty variable worker placement game. Kingdom point scoring rules seem unbalanced. Surely the points should be divided for joint kingdoms.

Update (having 15 2-player games under our belt): I raise my rating, because we are still having such a blast! There are still so many ways to discover new paths to victory and we haven´t even incorporated every expansion, promo card or played every single Royal Decree. This is definitely one of our favourites. It would be interesting how it would play with 3 or 4 players. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We only had time for 4 plays (2 Players) up till now but we already love it. And that was only the base game + royal decrees! I think my rating will probably go up when we try the Empires Expansion. (And I already pledged for the Troll´s Bridge and Dragon Forge Expansions on Kickstarter) You can learn the game pretty fast and it is easy to teach. There are lots of ways to gain victory points or mess with the other player(s). The consistent great art is just the icing on the cake. Of course you and your fellow players should be able to take quite a beating, as it can get pretty rough. Oh those Ogres... :D The "Take that"-cards, pushing enemy dwarfs to other tiles with your warrior, cutting of the half (or more) of your enemys kingdom with the last action in the game through the battle memorial card... If you can handle such things in a mature manner or better: even laugh at it ... Then don´t hesitate: get the game! Easy access to the gameplay and it doesn´t take too long. Sometimes it seemed even a tad too short. Maybe we will try sometime and set the endgame trigger to 4 completed goals. Conclusion: I can´t understand the "2" and "3" ratings in any way. If you don´t like a game - that´s absolutely okay. But beating such a kind of game (good production value, great art, working play mechanics) with this ratings seems not fair at all. In my humble opinion the game deserves a way higer average rating here on BGG.
