Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

I live with a family who's idea of 'board game night' is Monopoly, Game of Life and Parcheesi. I've found this to be a great gateway game since it is a outlet they are already familiar with, also, who doesn't wanna run amok as Ursula or Captain Hook? However! The one gripe I have that keeps this game from being rated higher is that the win conditions for each villain are not very balanced with one another. In order for Jafar to win, he has to gather 3 specific cards in his entire deck, mind control 1 specific character, and then move 1 specific card all the way from one side of his board to the other.... On the other hand, all King John has to do to win is acquire 20 power. Doesn't seem very fair. Of course, any game can play out differently due to the luck of the draw, but some characters have a bigger hills to climb than others, and that stinks when it is you first time playing and you just want to win as your favorite character. Other than that, I enjoy the game a lot! I've found it's more fun with 3 or 4 players, not as much with just 2. Would recommend for a good gateway game, even if it has a little bit of a learning curve

This game is all about burning through your deck as fast as possible while avoiding big risks from the fate deck. Lather, rinse, repeat. Characters are not balanced as Prince John's goal is significantly easier than the other characters who have spaces to unlock, heroes to relocate, or items to gather and move.

Many Decks unopened, still in shrink. Consolidated with all expansions consolidation into the Villainous main core game box. Will Trade as "lot".
