The upgrading of minions and so is fun, but the emphasis of this game is too much on attacking other players, so not my cup of tea. It also takes far too long for this kind of game.

Just not good. Rules are clear enough, but it's not obvious what you should be doing or why. 5 coin limit is too constraining, and the interactive actions aren't worth doing. Only redeeming thing is the art, but that doesn't make up for the gameplay

I absolutely loved the idea of the game before playing and the design of the cards and other pieces is incredible. Unfortunately the game fell short, in a two player games it was a stalemate the whole game, we both spent time fighting for gold to get better minions, where we unfortunately had no time to use them. In a 4 player game it was less of a problem but still felt like we were were cut short of our plans due to the game ending too soon. I have both outposts and chaotic evil, they make the game more appealing but do not fix the inherent problem. I would suggest playing the game over 8 rounds, this felt like a good amount.
