The pictures give you almost nothing to work with. At least in Codenames: Pictures the cards had multiple things going on. Each picture in this game is just "superhero charging attack" or "close-up of gadget". I suppose that if you had a group that was very knowledgeable in Marvel comics you could draw connections between characters beyond their pictures. But otherwise, it's very difficult to give any good clues.

Too flipping hard. If you don't undertand Marvel comic references, don't play this with people who do--you will be too lost.

The pictures are simply portraits of Marvel characters, many of which are very obscure. (Billy Club? and it looks like a jump rope handle?) Since the illustrations aren't very dynamic, you're usually going for appearance based clues, like bald, wings, blue, etc. Only recommended for extreme fans, though you could take out the more obscure cards to focus on characters you and your group already know.
