Backed on Kickstarter and received a few days ago. Here are my impressions after a few games. Theme: Very nicely made tiles that when put together create unique golf courses. The three dimensional flags and trees make the theme more immersive. Gameplay: Incomplete thoughts on this as my fiancé and I have only tried the standard game mode. Chaos golf looks intriguing and will try after a few more standard plays. Gameplay itself is simple. Choose a club draw a card from deck corresponding to club and/or activate club's ability, choose landing spot. Set Up: Not too bad considering how many tiles there are. The course booklet makes it pretty clear how to align tiles. I like putting away tiles in number order which can take a little time but is worth it for set up. So far a 7.5 out of 10 which could bump up to an 8 if I find myself enjoying the variability of other game modes. TLDR: Simple and thematic golf game that would be fun on a rainy day :)

Boring to play, even less exciting to look at. If this played anything like golf I would give it a shot, but this is a racing game. Draw a card. Shoot left, center, or right. First one to the hole wins. That is the entire game, not joking. What a disappointment.

I had some fun playing this game, but I'm not convinced it's a good game. The expansion added putting, I can't imagine playing this game without that. It has to be so dull. There just isn't much decision making or excitement to be had. You know how far all your shots will travel almost always, and it's just random if it's a little left, center, or right. There is some clubs that let you draw 2 and pick. And the drafting clubs is a big part of the game. But the actual hitting is pretty lackluster. And we never landed in water or in a bunker all game. I have a more interesting time navigating a golf course with cribbgolf, which is cribbage variant. Something isn't right here. Then the putting. The putting on paper sounds interesting. You have 4 different dice colors, and you need to hit a certain number total to sink the put. But without going over by more than 10. But this is simple math, you are going to just roll the correct odds based on the average outcome on each die. They needed more variance, or symbols you need to roll, something. This doesn't work. Still though, it is fun to make a hard put. But much like hitting from the tee and getting to the green, there is almost no choice. You are watching the game play itself. There is some hope here. There is some zanny modes and I think they might work a lot better even though they are not traditional golf. The set up for this game is BRUTAL though. I get you can make every course known to man. But for a game with virtually no player choice after the starting draft, it's just not worth that set up. So I dunno if I will play it again or not. We'll see. :) Pre game draft is fun :) Easy to understand and get playing :) Looks nice once set up and you can make any course probably :soblue: That is a giant pain to put together each time :soblue: Not enough tree tokens :gulp: Putting is just a do the obvious math :gulp: Getting to the green is dreadfully dull game of do the obvious
