Co-operative play encourages or requires players to work together to beat the game.
Cooperative Play
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Miniatures
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board

They really messed this up they were handed pure freaking gold AND they dropped the ball like come on no artwork for the extras and expansions boxes that’s fine if they would have made the core boxes nicer quality mine is already torn and that’s before I opened it once it’s flimsy and make space for the extras to go in the core box since there is no art work. The quality of the components also disappointing they should have made the cards out of better material and the player cards should be thick cardboard. I understand all that cost more but I would have gladly payed double to get a better product. I would also think that the details on the minature could have been so much better. It’s a cheap throw away game I wanted an awesome game that I could proudly display but it’s embarrassing the details should be way better especially since they were slotted to the base doesn’t that allow for more highly detailed molds to be used? Just disappointed

It's pretty clear that a lot of you should have been a lot more skeptical of what Crypto was going to deliver with this project. Their history with licensed games is pretty clear, so learn your lesson for next time to avoid disappointment.

The components aren't amazing (thin sheets for the scenarios is the worst bit, and not enough of one type of zombie to differentiate between standard and special is annoying but not a massive problem). Incomplete game hint card means you have to constantly consult the rulebook for steps of play, adds to the annoyance factor (until you memorize them). The gameplay on the other hand (from 2 solo games with 3 allies) is very good! The 2 scenarios I've played had very different feels and the mechanics are good and produce a tense and sometimes challenging solo game. I can also see the multiplayer potential (though may not get to experience it as no one I know is into zombies...pathetic normies...haha).
