Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

A really decent Kickstarter. Not a game you just pull out and play once. Instead, you will want to play with the same group as consistently as possible so the meta develops among you.
ChickenDin
? How to play: 1) You May move one road forward and reveal the next road card. 2) draw and resolve event cards (seen or unseen cards) 3) play cards you have of the same suite to help with the event or benefit yourself or discard up to 2 cards or conserve energy or you can do nothing at all 4) reveal and process cards that have been played 5) draw up to hand limit ? Replayability: If you enjoy deception games with a small player count then this game could be for you. I for one haven’t played very many betrayal games but the closest I can come to it is Dead of Winter. It hits just the right spots for me. This game has mechanics that can help hide your role very well which makes this game so good. I mainly play games with 2 players so this is an easy one to pick up. I have yet to be the betrayer so I’m looking forward to that. ? ?Down time: small player count and decision making make this game have very minimal down time. There just isn’t a bunch of waiting around because you have a decision to make every turn. ?Final thoughts: wow! I can’t believe how fun this game is. The use of cards to switch up the game board every game adds some variability. I think I would like to see more options/ expansions in the future. Another aspect that I like is that the events cards that you draw can be impacted by what card you are currently standing on. Some aspect of this game force other players to harm each other which can have you start to raise questions about their role and lead to mistrust among an ally, or the outing of a traitor. It’s a very clever and small game. I can’t wait to see/ buy the finished product! ?
