Fantasy RPG adventure dungeon crawler. # A lot of dice rolling # Loosing health will cover up talents that cannot be used then # Campaign or scenarios # Time limit to succeed the scenario # Solo game # Quite compact compared to other games Similar games: * Shadows of Brimstone (bigger, Cthulhu Western theme, plenty of dice roll and randomness)

Getting started on this after playing the Weeping Caves for 2 weeks. There is a learning curve to the system, but after half a dozen plays, most everything is easy to remember. I primarily play solo but use 2 Heroes. The first few games took longer, but now it plays in about an hour. Great fun.

What I liked :star: Your talents are your health. When you get hurt, you drain a talent. I find this thematic, becoming limited in abilities once you get hurt. :star: The RPG feel of it. Being able to build your character with talents, upgrade weapons etc. :star: The campaign mode is interesting. :star: I felt involved. The designer keeps in contact with the players, asks for their thoughts on things. I really appreciate that. :star: The modular map and the atmosphere it creates. What I disliked :nostar: This game is tough to learn, especially considering its weight. Can't find my through the rules easily. :nostar: Combat can take a few rounds :nostar: The characters aren't really characters, but rather professions. I don't feel connected to them. :nostar: The scenarios seem to feel a bit samey Why I parted with it The learning curve was steep, but also the rules didn't stick very well. I always had to check the player aids and/or rulebook. This kept taking me out of the game. Also, I didn't fully get the sense of an adventure. Some checks felt very mechanical and repetitive. I haven't fully given up and might partake in a future kickstarter. For now, with my lack of concentration and memory issues, this game is too overwhelming. Lastly, I'm not good at managing many cards with their own traits and advantages. All the extra loot etc. should be fun, but it felt like more to think about.
