Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
In storytelling games, players are provided with conceptual, written, or pictorial stimuli which must be incorporated into a story of the players' creation.

I used to read these books when I was a kid and if you did you will like it too. It's basically cyoa with board game elements.

Let's be honest here, you kept your finger on the pages when reading a CYOA book. It was okay to do that with a book, but for some reason I found it too much cheating in an actual tabletop game. Also the game has no replay value once you've gone through it.

I just finished chapter one. So far it is pretty awesome. If you have read any of these books than you have pretty much played this game. It has the same concept except it adds a little more fun by gaining items and completing challenges. If you like these type of novels you will enjoy the game.
