This game is simple and snappy. I know this is an abstract set collection game, but the theme of walking alongside a path of trees in an arboretum works really well here. The trees themselves are charismatic, giving the game a lovely table presence. There is a deceptive level of strategic depth behind this light, breezy game.

Set collection card game with spatial puzzle by creating paths (same type, sequential numbers). The puzzle can turn into a real brain burner, and calculating the best option can be stressful. Pros: + Artwork + Building spatial paths with different types of trees + Players play a card and discard a card + Players can draw a card from the two common discard piles + Players want to play cards but also need to hold them in their hand to score at the end of the game: only one path of a type is scored (the highest left-over card in players hand decides who scores, except for the 1 card) + Compact game + Quick playing time Neutrals # Cut-throat with 2 players # Very thinky game, calculating best options Similar games: * Piepmatz (set collection card game, less thinky)

Difficult, brutal, brain-burner. In a twilight zone because it looks like a light, simple filler but is actually a fairly involved, lengthy, difficult card game. Not sure this will get a ton of play, but my interest is piqued! Edit: I cannot get this game to the table, for some reason. It looks deceptively pretty while the actual result is a knife fight in a phone booth. For some reason, no one is drawn to this one the way I am.
