Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The simultaneous action selection mechanic lets players secretly choose their actions. After they are revealed, the actions resolve following the rule-set of the game.
Simultaneous Action Selection
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

I liked playing with the core set, wanted more, but didn't want to get into deckbuilding, and having to catch up on the meta, attend tournaments, and spend hundreds of dollars on a majority of cards I'd never use. This is a nice way to play a good game without having to make that huge financial and time investment. I've played against the Starks twice. Egads, that combo of Eddard and Catelyn is fierce! Obviously, you're putting all your eggs in one basket, but if you can protect that basket it's a hard combo to break. Really have to change up your strategy when those two are playing against you!

Very cool, rather aggressive deck. Due to the sacrifice mechanic and some specific cards interacting with it (...Cathryn and Robb iirc?) it holds it's own in multiplayer. But kinda more like a direwolf nipping at the weaker prey when it spots a chance.
